So we've made another change

Digital academy through our district was, we will say difficult, at best. So we decided to move to traditional homeschool for the rest of this school year and probably the next as well. We made the swap, just before Thanksgiving.
I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not really so new at this. I've been filling in for years where teachers have left gaps. I've been teaching the district provided material this year anyway. The difference is, I am responsible for reporting grades. Our district's digital work was mostly auto-graded. I chose a curriculum that is VERY similar to not scrap everything she's done this school year, is accredited and does a great deal of auto-grading as well. The design is much easier to follow than what our district had provided. Miss B says the lectures are far superior to what she's been getting. I feel like this is because our new curriculum was always designed for remote learning.
I know I am less stressed. Miss B is certainly less stressed. She's a different child. And we have plenty of time to add in things we WANT to do.
Miss B has a dream of opening her own cafe/bakery. Part of her work will be designed around that dream. Today is a Home Ec/Life Skills. We are having a sweet and savory "pie lab" today.
She's chosen a daily jump rope challenge for her PE during December. I've chosen to roll out my neglected yoga mat since my band knee and jumping rope don't always get along. That is unless the weather is nice and we can go take a local hike or nature walk.
