Those small Daily Fitness Feats and Nutrition Challenges here on SparkPeople have changed me into a healthier person. My points increase dramatically but more importantly are the numbers that decrease. My Blood Pressure and my Blood Sugar levels. I deal with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) on a daily basis. In order to stay healthy, I check my blood sugar twice a day.

Knowing my numbers is part of what keeps me strong and healthy. Having small daily goals and challenges is how I stay in a healthy range. According to Medline.com, Exercise strengthens your heart and improves your circulation. The increased blood flow raises the oxygen levels in your body. This helps lower your risk of heart diseases such as high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and heart attack. Regular exercise can also lower your blood pressure and triglycerides.
