Day 330: Happy Thanksgiving!
Wednesday, November 25, 2020
Whew, busy day today! I had intended to take the day off, but I ended up spending the better part of an hour on email this morning, and just got off a half hour call. But it is now 4:30 and I am DONE for the week!
I slept in till 7:30 this morning, which was soooo nice. Then I waited till after breakfast to do my bike ride, which was good and bad....a little warmer, but I just find it so much harder to get going if I don't do it first thing.
This afternoon was busy - first I headed out to pick up my "Run to Feed the Hungry" shirt. The local food bank does an ENORMOUS 5k event every year on Thanksgiving Day, but of course it's virtual this year. Which actually made me more inclined to participate - I did it once and it was soooooo crazy. It literally took about 15 minutes just to get to the start line! Thousands and thousands of people. So Paul and I are just going to go do our own 5k tomorrow morning.
Then I headed to the bank and finally closed out my dad's safe deposit box. I closed the account a couple months ago, and I got everything out of the box a while back, but apparently I never actually did the paperwork to close it out. Good to have that done. Then I went to the chiropractor - badly needed! Then I came home and we got Paul's bike loaded up so we could take it to the shop (since he's recovering from surgery, he's not allowed to lift, so I had to get it on and off the rack). Then I zipped over to the car wash - SO nice to be able to see out my windshield again!
Busier than I'd planned, but the good thing is that now I don't have to deal with any of this stuff on Friday, I can just putter around and get stuff done around the house.
Tomorrow morning we'll head up to Paul's parents...yes, technically we're breaking the rules by getting together with folks outside our household (his sister and her partner are currently living there also), but we are all super careful so I feel okay about it.
Okay, time for me to sign off. Have a wonderful holiday!
