Week 2 No Fast Food November Check In

We had to deal with Tropical Storm this week - Eta. In fact, if you saw the bridge collapse on the news, that wasn't very far from us. We are perfectly safe here. No flooding or loss of power, just a two-hour delay for schools so that it was daylight when the buses ran. That was about the extent of the storm for us.

I am still working on breaking the fast-food chain habit. So far, so good. We did have takeout this week, but it was a local pizzeria that makes a cauliflower crust. It's so good that my husband didn't even notice!

I am co-teaching with my intern for another week and then will return to the lead role after the next lesson. I got a lot more steps in this week which helped me to reach my step goal

I am wrestling with about 2 1/2 pounds but that happens sometimes when I am working to reach a new goal. I'll bounce around between a couple of pounds and then lose it. I think my body rebels sometimes! That's ok, I now know that it is part of my pattern. It's frustrating, but it's part of the journey.

This week, I am on track to meet all of my goals. I am very happy with my progress.

    Great that you are challenging yourself and doing well with it. We are using lots of cauliflower recipes lately. So glad DH seems to like them. We tried the pizza (boxed) and I think I should have baked it longer.

    I'm struggling with the no-fast-food vow. This past week we needed to be away from home for doctors' visits and appointments, and since the drive round-trip is about 3 hours, we did fuel up at a couple of places. I felt guilty about it, but wasn't much to do about it. He is set now for the rest of the month, so I'll try again to avoid fast-food chains.

    I never heard of cauliflower crust, sounds good. Glad everything is ok with your home in the storm. I have the same issue with losing weight . I gain 2 new pounds then drop 3 . I am learning not to get upset with the scale, now when I see it go up 2 pounds I know I am getting ready to lose a pound.
