According to Eric Holder, former attorney general of the US, it is taking six days for the mail to deliver ballots. It is thus, now too close to the election next Tuesday to vote by mail!

The best thing to do is take your ballot to a drop box or election office. Or go and vote in person whenever it's allowed in your state.

This is all due to a yesterday supreme court decision that postmarks on or before election day will not make your ballot count if it arrives after election day. This ruling applied to Wisconsin, and we must assume that if the election results end up in the supreme court, that they could go that way for all states. So PLEASE, don't mail in your ballot anymore if you can do any of these other steps. Drop box, drop off in person, or vote in person. Glenn

Troubling indeed . . as a Canadian, I can only look on with amazement.

I did the drop box right in front of City Hall the first day we had for it, Oct. 5th, and have tracked my specific ballot online in California. According to the local news tonight, all mail-in registered voters in my county have now been counted, just not tallied yet. Or maybe they have, I am not sure. I feel confident that as a Californian my vote will be appropriately tallied, even if my county is the other party in majority.

Lord. Is there anything else that can be done to disenfranchise our votes! Thanks for alerting us. I DID hand deliver mine to my city hall 2.5 weeks ago. But what about those who can't! **SIGH** God bless us all.

Thank you for the information very luckily am not a citizen of your country. My family posted theirs some time back but hope it was in time. Is this a way to change the results?

    Thank you, Glenn.

I mailed my ballot yesterday because I had no other choice. The ballot literally said that it would not be counted if it was hand delivered. Isn’t that crazy? I am in TN, and the ballot stated it MUST be mailed.

I am hopeful that my ballot will make it 15 miles away to the election commissions office before next Tuesday.

Does it seem strange to anyone else that with the election only 6 days away, decisions about the process are still being made??? Shouldn't there be a date after which things stand "as is"... but no, if they could rush through a new Supreme Court Justice, they can change anything they like.

I live in Canada, where the federal government is much stronger than the provincial governments. To the best of my knowledge, all decisions on federal elections are made by the federal government; decisions on provincial elections are made by the provinces.

I heard that and never considered the USPS option - found a local dropbox. In fact the rest of my family ended up doing the same after I let them know what I heard and of my concerns. They often do not listen to me but I'm impressed that they did so this time.

Good that you're getting the word out! Here in Michigan, our ballots counted as long as the post mark was dated Nov 3rd. Not anymore. I voted back in Sept. when we first got our ballots in the mail. I then took them to our city clerk.👍.
