Beaver Brook Nature Walk

Wednesday’s nature walk was very enjoyable. Watch out for the acorns under the leaves. I felt the earth move under my feet a few times. Sometimes, the acorns can act like ball bearings and move whatever lands on top of them. The 1.4-mile walk was perfect for my class. No photos of students have been included because of privacy issues.
The falls are beautiful. It took us about 20 minutes to reach the falls. The best view is from the top of the falls.
From the trail, the view of the falls is hidden by trees and foliage. As the leaves fall, the view will improve! I'd love to know the story behind Beaver Brook Canyon being donated to Keene. It is such a pretty spot to visit.
The Old Man of Keene needs some artistic help. It takes a few minutes of looking at the rocks to see the face. A good painter could bring out the eyes and mouth and really make this face look like a senior citizen.
Our hike worked out even with the threat of rain. Everyone had a great time, and I plan to visit this spot again in the spring when the falls are at their fullest. I love walking in nature because I see life change around me and I witness thousands of little miracles!
