I let yesterday turn from a rest day into a slippery slope day. I was great until I got too hungry. My husband and I went grocery shopping, and then out to dinner cause I was starving. I then proceeded to make hormonally craving based decisions, and the end of the night wasn't pretty. I'm noticing I do this about 2 very consistent days a month. I'm on month 4 and am really seeing the trend. I think I need to ULTRA plan those hormonal days because my self-control seems to be even less. Good feedback and info for me to really take it. I'm back at it today, meals planned and prepped, and a 2-hour bike ride. The only maddening thing is that between 2 bad days and hormones, I'm up 7 lbs. I know that will go away as soon as I'm back for a day or two, but dang, I didn't eat THAT much. I can feel my monkey mind and judgment starting to chatter, and all I need to do is focus on doing what I know works:) I am adding pilates to my routine this week, and am interested to see how that will feel. I found a beginner online class, and I'm not sure how it will go, but I'm here for it.

    I've never tried Pilates, but after my first full body strength training I was DEAD the next day... But it got way easier even just after that first time! And it's very satisfying to get stronger!

    This is nothing but the truth. The hormones and cravings are real. I never noticed before because I ate poorly all the time.

    Not sure where you live, but if you have a Club Pilates nearby, go check them out! The first class, is free! Itโ€™s a great opportunity to try out the different equipment, primarily the reformer and itโ€™s a no pressure come as you are environment. not intimidating at all, lots of normal folk, all there to try something new.
