Never Returning to Normal After Brain Surgery
Thursday, October 01, 2020
Silly me. I thought that once they removed the tumor, I would be better. No more headaches, exhaustion, and loss of balance. I would no longer be deaf in my left ear. I could see again.
Well all that happened. But in removing my very large tumor, my pituitary gland was injured. It no longer works. My thyroid has 4 tumors on it, all benign, but it no longer works either. Who knew how much hormones matter? No one, until they don't have them.
If I miss my synthetic hormones for more than a few days, I will die. My meds are still not balanced, and sometimes I can't stand up.
But I am here. I can see. I will never be the same as I was before. I am different. I can't do everything I used to. But I am here.
I am here. I am here.
