Dogs on the Run

Last week I went with my dad to pick up their dogs from the groomer. The one slipped her collar and got away from us. We chased her for over an hour before we finally caught her. It took my dad, myself, the groomer (when she could), another lady, and animal control to finally get her. I am very grateful for their help and told the people helping us that. When we were chasing her, I told myself I will help other people catch their dog if needed. So many people sat on their steps watching us.
Fast forward to this morning. I am sitting at my kitchen table starting my Sparkpeople stuff. I see 2 dogs run by and stop in my neighbor's yard. By the time I was able to grab some treats and shoes, they were down about 2 blocks. I tried calling them and following them to chase them. They are much faster than me. My county has a Facebook page for lost and missing pets. I posted the breeds and location of the dogs. I went in back and a few minutes later the dogs came back through the yards across the street. Again, grab treats and shoes to go out. When I got out, the owners had arrived and were loading them up. I like to think they saw my post and I helped. Maybe they just got lucky and found them. Who knows. For now, the dogs have been found and that is what matters.
