One does not realize how much they depend on the internet until it is down. I use it to check the weather, listen to my favorite radio station, check Facebook, check e-mail, even watch tv (since we use streaming services), and do my Sparkpeople things! This morning my internet was out. I used data on my phone instead for some of my things. Maybe it was good thing since I had things to get done today. I got a load of laundry done. I was ready when my furnace guy came to give it a check up. My daughter and I had to run out of town for some clothes for her new job. She has to wear all black to the Starbucks in the grocery where she will be working. Our stores haven't been keeping much on hand it seems. We ran over to a bigger town for some shopping and lunch. When we came home, internet was working! The internet down sometimes isn't such a bad thing. It reminds us to go to some of the other things we can do. I really enjoy reading and haven't been doing much of that. If it were later in the day, I could have made my daughter walk with the dogs and myself. We also probably would have played a card game or talked. The internet down this morning was just a reminder to not always be plugged in and remember other good times.
