9/17/2020 TODAY'S TIP

Make a list of positive affirmations

Here’s a few to get you started: Take a sheet of paper. More if you need it. Now fold the paper in half, top to bottom. On the top margin on the Left write a plus sign. On the top margin on the Right write a minus sign.

Now a minimum of once a day, more if needed, write a positive affirmation under the plus sign. Like: love to exercise. I want to live a healthy life. I am getting more fit each day.
Under the minus sign write something negative. I usually wait until just before bed to write something negative. I figure if it is something that has been bothering me all evening IT MUST BE BAD.

Keep that positive/negative list.

On the positive list, jot down the people, places and things that bring you joy, satisfaction and enlightenment.

On the negative list, note the ones that detract from the quality of your life. Refer to these lists when choosing how, and with whom, to spend your time.

Collect positive affirmations. Spend a few minutes finding or revisiting motivational quotes that inspire you to work toward a better version of you. Print out a few of your favorites and display them in a prominent place, like your fridge, bulletin board or gym locker. If we ever can get back in the gym.

As for the negative...pick a day in the month & on that date, each month, rip the negative side of the paper off and discard. FOR GOOD. For you good.
