feeling the burn!!

Today hubby and I decided to do straight cardio, no weights just cardio. I jumped on the treadmill today and did a 20% incline and O M G, i tried to keep it at 20% but had to keep back down to 15% incline and then 0% and then had to slow down to 2.0mph it really worked my calves. But I went a little farther than a mile today I did to a mile and a quarter on the treadmill. I figured I would start stepping it up and try to go for a mile and a half.

I did try a new exercise today which was the row machine, I did not like it at all!! It felt so awkward! I don't think I did two minutes on it and I only burned like 7 calories, so apparently its not a big calorie burner. i don't see me getting on that again.


There is one machine that I am absolutely terrified of and that is the escalator machine where you walk up the steps. I don't do stairs and I know that would be a huge calorie burner because they say you burn a calorie per step on it but i am so scared of it, I'm gonna try to conquer my fear and see what I can do on it friday.

Tomorrow may be a rest day for hubby so I may just do a workout at home video during my lunch and then another after work. I don't want to take a rest day every single time he does because I am the one who really needs to lose weight, he doesn't have to work out, oh but i'm so glad he does because HE has been my motivator to keep going. and he keeps reminding me that he is seeing differences in my body. So maybe I am doing something right!!!

    You did great! Also be careful what you eat. Diet (as in the food we eat, not going on a diet) is more important than exercise. Exercise is great and will help with wright loss.

    the rowing machine is supposed to be great but i feel awkward on it to i loved the stair stepper at the gym hope you learn to like it to. way to go but remember rest days are important at least one a week Hugs
