does the soreness ever end

Tuesday, August 18, 2020

working on my second week back into my journey and my calves are still screaming. Sunday they finally completely stopped being so sore and today I could barely do a half mile on the treadmill. around the first quarter of the mile my right calf started to really hurt and felt like I was fixing to catch a serious cramp, so I slowed the treadmill down from 2.6 to 2.0 and still at points had to slow it down even more so my calves would cool down. I was determined that I was atleast do a half mile on the treadmill. I didn't wanna over do my legs today because I didn't wanna end up like I did last week and not be able to hardly walk.

I go on vacation in two and half weeks and will be going to the beach. I have got to be able to keep up with a 4 year old, but I don't know how well that is gonna go. I know I will get great exercise while there, cause we spend most of our time on the beach looking for seashells and walking through the sand really works those muscles in your calves, i'm excited though and can't wait i need a mental break, i work my brain to death monday- friday working medical claims and my brain has had enough!!! I love when september gets here cause that means vacation for me and then the holidaysand i get another vacation at christmas. Oh goodness I didn't think about the holidays and how I'm gonna handle that while on my journey.......

You are doing an awesome job! I am impressed. Wear that soreness as a badge of honor and pride for all of your hard work! Have a wonderful beach break! I live right by the ocean so I have a terrible habit of taking it for granted and not going often enough to enjoy the beauty of the beach!

There is 2 things that I know of that can cause leg cramps (probably more). One is low potassium. Check with your doctor. The other is not drinking enough liquids.
