Shabbat Shalom from California~ Shalom Aleichem!
Friday, August 14, 2020
Tonight, services for my congregation will be conducted online with Zoom for the first time. I am going to services! Rabbi Sam(antha) met with me on Zoom and explained how to use Zoom yesterday night. I wish that this could have happened for me when I first became unable to attend services because of Meniere's Disease, but now with Covid-19, everyone needs this! So I get a "special" treat when it is what is actually needed by everyone. Tonight's Parashat Re'eh focuses on the fact that life is BOTH a blessing and a curse, but that we can choose to see the blessing rather than focus on the curse.
If you are unable to attend virtual services or light real-time candles, please accept these virtual candles with prayer from me.
