Day Three - no power
Wednesday, August 12, 2020
I am currently at the loom house charging up everything I can. One small brick is fully charged. My brick that I bought to go with my e-spinner is at 62%. The brick that goes with the single-jumper system is at 88%.
I am glad to be here as home is starting to feel a little claustrophobic. I cannot sew masks. I cannot weave as the looms are in the basement and I do not want to use the lights when we might need them otherwise. I am almost, almost mind you, tired of reading and knitting! I never thought I would say that about knitting. I cannot skip from project to project as some have dark yarns that need really bright lights to do.
It is more that I am just tired of everything. Tired of the virus. Tired of all the crap with political groups demonizing each other. Tired of some people trying to rip off other people.
Power will probably not come to our part of town until Friday. I have friends that live less than a mile away that are all good. I have friends in another close town that have been told three weeks before power. I have farming friends that have lost 25 trees, the siding off one side of their house, outbuildings, and crops.
Dearly Beloved and I are very lucky. We know this but we are just tired.
