One of the things I had looked forward to in retirement was volunteering. I’m happy to have found that AARP has excellent suggestions for volunteering from home. One that really appeals to me is recording books for Learning Ally audiobooks. Several jobs ago, I delivered their audio devices and recorded books to special needs students and teachers. It’s a great program that I’d like to contribute to. There are other opportunities, but that one caught my attention.
I’m still smiling about the virtual concert series and my season ticket. I’ll enjoy wonderful music now through October.
I’m looking forward to playing my neglected piano. When the weather cools off enough to open windows (December? January?) I might let my tuner come over.
With the amount of fabric I was given, I have plenty to try my hand at surgical caps along with masks.
I was looking at my cookbooks this morning and thinking about new recipes to try. I’m no fancy chef. I like low work, high results cooking. Speaking of which, I tried turning my flourless banana oatmeal cookies into bars. Much easier than making balls. Hm; I think I may need one now.
