Tackling one dreaded task a day

Tuesday, July 14, 2020

Except for the days when I was healing from stepping on a bee in my flip flops two weeks ago, I have been sticking to our morning walks after an early breakfast. Then I have tried to make myself tackle one outside job I hate to do. Today, that was removing the trees that popped up in the garden after abundant rain. Truthfully, in that garden they were growing a long time. In amongst them were many wild roses. An hour and a half later I had cut all the trees and hauled them to the chicken coop where I am creating a sustainable run where their food is provided without any cost. The thorny wild roses were placed at the edge of the run to help deter any digging varmints and dogs.

All in al,l that work lasted an hour and a half and that means that by 9 am I had 7,0000 steps! I much prefer getting my exercise and accomplishing something at the same time.

I love getting my exercise and one dreaded job done per day before 9 am. It makes me feel productive and feeling productive (plus the endorphins from exercise) help my mood. When my mood is good, I am more apt to make healthy choices.

I have noticed that I am sleeping better and have a bit more energy every day since starting it.

Oh, Lordy, this is what I need to be doing. I feel like nearly everything productive except eating, cooking, and Sparking is dreaded. Over the last two days, I switched location of two cabinets in my living/dining area. Took a LOT longer than 90 minutes. Had been avoiding it for months. Got it in my head that I HAD to do it before my maid came this month and I tore into it. Next job won't be as big.
