Make your Tiny Habit pleasureable

Ok, another Tiny Habit tip (I am kicking several out today).

Finding habits where you can feel successful and good about what you are doing is the core of BJ's Tiny Habits.
Sometimes we have to figure out what is getting in the way of us doing the habit.
I have long struggled with taking my morning supplements even though they make a huge difference in how I feel, how I sleep, and my ability to lose weight. The PM ones got in regularly, the AM ones sometimes didn't get in my stomach until 6-8 hours after I woke and occasionally not at all.

I had a flash one day while working on the tiny habit of taking my AM supplements, that I really dislike taking pills (including supplements/vitamins). So I decided to pair it with something that makes me feel good.
I now have a cup of nice tea (or coffee) along with my supplements.
BUT I use the tiny habits of:

After I …[my anchor] I will fix my breakfast and a cup of tea (or coffee) and put them on the end of the counter.
After I sit down at my computer, I will put my breakfast and cup of tea at my computer.
After I put my cup of tea at my computer, I will put my AM supplements on top of my teacup (it has a lid).

This means I have the tea beside me to have with breakfast but to drink it I have to hold all the supplements on the lid so they don't fall as I take a sip. This Really encourages me to take some.

Instead of struggling with supplements, I now enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and taking my supplements is a way to get that lovely tea inside of me.

This has worked great for me… while on my bad days my breakfast (and therefore tea/supplements) might not get into me until I have awake a while, but I don't struggle with doing it and it is getting done every day (no misses) and usually in a timely manner.

So if you are struggling with a habit, figure out what is making it a struggle (BJ has a couple chapters on this) and find a way to undo the struggle part so you have a habit you can do and feel good about doing.
