Measuring and Portions

One of my Fast Break goals is to measure out my portions. Holy mackerel, I'd forgotten how useful this is! And its harder than it seems. But really, it's so simple!
I had developed a habit of eating while cooking, eating when bored, eating without thinking. Anyone else like that? Something tells me I'm not alone. Mindless eating is a real thing. This week, I'm going to be MINDFUL of my eating.
Last night, when I looked at a bag of potato chips, I noticed the portion size and calorie count: 14 chips = 150 calories. Was it worth it? Yes, because I really wanted something salty. So instead of grabbing the bag and eating directly from it, I took a small bowl, counted out 14 chips, and sat down. And I ate SLOWLY!
Huge victory.
It's the little things! But it's going to be a big step for me.
