Focusing on not snacking
Tuesday, May 05, 2020
During Coronavirus, I am using meal delivery services to save on going to the grocery store. The food is pretty good, but is usually higher calories then the recipes that I usually make. I tell myself that it is ok because I am exercising more, which I am (many days I burn 1000 calories exercises 3,000 overall according to my AppleWatch. However, I really think it is the snacking and stress eating that is undoing me. As such, I am really trying to control that. Before I snack, a) I ask myself am I really hungry or just stressed/bored b) I make tea or drink a glass of water c)I do a dance/clean party d) mini-meditation. I am working on meditating much more. I try to do at least 2 10-minute guided exercises each day as well as mini-meditations. It really seems to be helping. My sleeping has been much better later (could also be the antihistamines). Also, I am working on drinking less 3 drinks or less per week. I don't drink that much usually, but when I do have a glass of wine, I get the munchies. Also, I will only drink with dinner or after. I lose productivity fast. Anyhow, the changes seem to be working, I need to continue them. I would like to see a 5 pound loss by June 12.
