REMEDY AND PROTECTION FROM SICKNESS
Thursday, April 09, 2020
The word Sozo means to save, keep safe, cure, rescue.
Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
We receive Him as the sacrifice that cleanses us from all sin, and that includes all the above, since the word salvation is the same as the word Sozo. That's why we call Him Savior.
Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
His body was bruised and broken for us. At Passover He had the last supper with his disciples. In the Old Testament it told of Passover when they applied the blood of a perfect lamb over the door posts of their homes to protect them so they would not perish when the plague came. The blood was their protection and passed over their house so it did not take their lives.
He gave them the bread at that last passover which symbolized his body was broken for us and the cup symbolized his blood for salvation. That's why we have communion to remember this. He is our perfect Lamb.
Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus 20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.
By His broken body, and the blood He shed we are saved and healed.
If you have received him into your life accept the whole package that he paid for to give to you, not just part of it: ln these troubled times we need this salvation, protection and healing more than ever before.
Isaiah 53:5 but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed.
I Peter 2:24 he himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. "By his stripes you are healed ".
Leviticus 17:11For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Leviticus 17:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
lf you have never received Jesus the Son of God, ask him to forgive you and to be the Lord of every part of your life. Commit to follow him because He loves you and He will help you with every situation.
