Busy week ahead

How is everyone?
I started nursing school three weeks ago and it is so busy every day but I'm having a ball! Most days I take a kid or kids to school, preschool and then get myself to school then it's all done again in reverse. I try not to think of how this will be my life for two more years and just take it a day and a week at a time. I have a head cold this week so I curled up in bed today to catch up on SP, my favorite place. I was beating myself up about not being disciplined enough with my eating habits and then I read some of my old blogs from when I was doing really well and to my surprise I struggled then too. That was really comforting, I forgot about that. Blogging is awesome. This site is awesome for knowing that and building it into the program here. My husband is on a business trip for a week and my big goal is no fast food while he's gone. At first I was overwhelmed with the idea especially now that I'm in school. There are basketball games, play practices, and late nights but I called on my mom for help and made a plan and we will not be falling off this week. It's those little decisions that make me feel stronger each day. Okay, Off to drink some water and try to shake this cold before a very challenging week! Keep up the good work!

How wonderful that you've started nursing school! You are so brave and energetic to take on such a challenge while raising children at the same time. AND--your goal of not taking shortcuts by getting fast food--yay for you! That is very wise and conscientious. Whenever I eat fast food (ate Pizza Hut last night), all I feel when I'm finished is disappointed that I can't have MORE, which doesn't happen when I eat "regular," home-cooked food.

It is so wonderful that your mom lives nearby and can help you and your children stay on track. I hope it's a good week at your house in every way, my dear, despite your husband's business trip.

Love that you solicited some assistance. Good for you!

Wishing you the best with your schooling. And, yes ... one day at a time.

When I think back about my years as a student, I wonder how I did it. Well, one day at a time. emoticon

I whole heartedly agree with you that blogging and this site are awesome. emoticon
