Take time to explore and discover the nature that is near you.
I had an adventure with some backyard bobcat tracks that yesterday surrounded our house. We have not seen the cat in over a year, but have seen the prints to prove that the bobcat is checking us out.
For five years, we have seen bobcat prints coming from a cave behind our home. Today we followed the cat's tracks around our home and into the woods. The prints went down to the spring and up the waterline trail near the house.
The prints were near our frozen clothesline too!
We found the cave where the prints ended. I wonder if the bobcat was looking at us as we were looking at the cave? In the past, we have seen more prints. Perhaps the female is pregnant with kits?
I love the fact that we share part of our property with one or more wild cats. Only twice have we seen the elusive bobcat in our yard, and those times were very short.
I don’t think that there is any danger of us being attacked by the cat, and so it is a wonderful feeling just knowing that some wild nature lives close to the house.
