Health Care Starts With Self-Care

I was recently asked “How do you manage to stay on track?
Really, it’s very simple. Now always easy, but it is simply because I made my health a priority! I work on self-care every day! to enhance the health care experience for both patients and clinicians, to bolster health outcomes for individuals and community health, and to lower medical spending per capita.
For the past 11 years, I’ve found ways to stay on track with eating low-carb and getting in at least 10K steps a day. Here is how I’ve done it. I’ve learned how to make it:
Make it Fun! I start with activities that I like.
Make it A Challenge! I try to push my limits each week with walking and water consumption.
Make it A Game! Can I find a new recipe this week?
Make it A Social Event! I invite people to join me.
Make it Known! I blog about good health, challenges, and motivation every day.
In order to maximize my health and happiness, I try to do what I love with people that I like. I also keep learning with web pages like https://www.youtube.com/watch?

Health care starts with self-care. The day-to-day responsibility for our health is upon our shoulders.
