BIBLE VERSE FOR MONDAY

I called upon the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
When university teachers tell their students what will be on an upcoming exam, they are speaking about the foreseeable future. And woe to the student who decides not to heed the forewarning of his teacher. Why does a teacher announce beforehand what will happen? So the students can prepare and not be surprised. When students talk among themselves and ask, Will the teacher really do what he says?" the answer from those who have been in that teacher's class before is, "You can be certain that what he says will e on the test. We learned the hard way."
In other words, past experience by listening to a well meaning word of advice from a teacher has a great impact on belief concerning the future. The apostle Peter told his readers the same thing. We were eyewitnesses of what the prophets wrote about concerning Jesus. We saw Him and heard the Father bless Him on the Mount of Transfiguration. Peter then said his readers would "do well to heed" prophetic words.
The value of "the prophetic word confirmed" instills confidence in prophecy yet unfulfilled in God's plan. You "do well" to place your confidence in God's plan. You "do well" to place your confidence in Christ for today and all your tomorrows. You can be certain what He says will come to pass.
