The Band's Visit
Sunday, January 19, 2020
There are so many ways to enjoy life without relying on food to entertain you.
My husband and I went to go see the Sunday matinee of "The Band's Visit" . We were able to head up to the venue about 15 minutes before curtain and get the community rush seats. We ended up in row P for only $30 each. The poor suckers on either side of us paid over $150 for their tickets. I take our savings seriously!
It was a lovely show, and there was a character who reminded me of my father-in-law (they're both older, stoic Egyptian men) and the music was haunting and romantic. I started my weight loss journey well before Sparkpeople and noticed how comfortable the seats are when you're already 50 lbs down. I can't wait to have more wiggle room as the Broadway in Philadelphia season progresses.
After the show, we did a little walking to find shadows for my photography class and shared a chicken salad. We got home to our crated little dog and to our comfortable couch and I have a whole afternoon of nothing planned.
Hope you all are enjoy your Sundays and wishing you a great week ahead!
