The Nanny was a sit-com on cBS, 1993-99. It starred Fran Drescher as Fran Fine, a Jewish woman from Flushing, NY(Flushing is a neighborhood in Queens, NYC). As the theme song says, she lost her job & was dumped by her BF. She grabbed her make-up box & starts schlepping make-up, in the more we’ll to do part of the the City. She gets hired by wealthy Maxwell Sheffield, a Broadway producer, as a nanny for his 3 kids. Niles is the Butler & chauffeur. He supports Fran, & snips @ C.C., Maxwell’s partner (who is crushing on Maxwell). Fran had a very nasal thick New York accent. Trivia: Fran Drescher & her husband Peter Marc Jacobson developed the show.
