I'm a list person. I like things in order, planned ahead, and to check it off. I've had an alarm on my phone for some time just so I can look at my goals everyday. I think it helps keep me focused, however, it's always good to dive in deep and to review them often. "SMART" goals in my opinion, too rigid, and does not account for the random things that life throws at us. They also would be grammatically impossible to add the "ifs, whats, and howevers" all in one sentence. I prefer 3 big idea categories when making goals. Inevitably, I just want to be healthy, I don't care what weight I am or how much I can lift. Anything is better than where I am at now. Below is my attempt to be more specific on my goals and the continuation or phase 2 of each category.

1) Strength/Agility
A) Exercise 30 minutes 5 of 7 days>>>daily walk (15 m), lift (10), stretch (5)
B) Jog, lift, monthly challenge (something new and fun)
2) Balanced Diet
A) Introduce 1 new fruit/veggie per month
B) Track micros
3) Life
A) Save 20% of income
B) Travel to 1 new place (outside of Michigan) every year
