Feeling Good About Progress

Still haven't decided if this Enzyme Replacement Therapy is working or if "Calming the Cookie Monster" would have done the same thing, but at least I'm losing weight again and that is a plus because it's so much easier to breathe. My sister came over for 2 days and brought a huge stash of goodies with her. I did succumb to one bran muffin and it doesn't seem to have caused a tummy issue, so that's good.
We lost 2 friends this week - one to cancer, and one to old age (she was 101 years old!) At out age, loss is to be expected, but it's especially hard during the holidays! But my good news is that my S-I-L who was in cardiac rehab got to go home yesterday (her daughter will stay with her for a while to make sure she stays okay), and my niece came home from the hospital after lung removal surgery. I will be doing a few stints of respite care for both of them so their families can get a break but it's so good to finally have them at home.
Hubby had a bad fall while out blowing snow a week or so ago and finally went to the doctor. They didn't see any broken bones but want him to follow up with the orthopedist to see if he tore the rotator cuff again. I sure hope not because it was such a long recovery time after his last surgery - he's not getting any younger, either!
Me, I just keep plodding along, taking one day at a time. I'm avoiding sugar and starch as well as I can but not obsessing, and exercising as much as I feel able to do (am glad I got my Fitbit restarted yesterday.) I'm enjoying all the holiday prep, but also taking time out to relax and be thankful for all of my blessing.
HUGS AND HOLIDAY WISHES TO ALL MY SPARK FRIENDS!
