Holiday Check In New Buffet Rule & Beautiful Dress

Last night I attended the annual Women's Christmas Celebration at church. I looked in the 'other' closet to choose something to wear, and saw this beautiful dress I bought 5 years ago and have never wore. But today is the day to wear this size 14 dress. Yes!!! As I cut the tags off the dress, I was so excited. It fits beautifully and I love the beautiful blue and emerald hues. I got so many compliments on the dress and I kept thinking it taken me so long time to lose 30 pounds and fit into this dress. But I did it!

Regardless of how others see me, it's how I see myself. I am size 14 woman. It's taken years to get here and I am staying. We all know how to lose weight, eat less and move more. What I am learning/reinforcing now is how to keeping living a lifestyle that sustains my weight loss.

Again I followed ALL the Buffet Rules and added a new one.


*** New - Pretend you are a food critic. Consider each food on your plate as a sample and you are going to choose only the very best foods. Note each detail of appearance, taste, texture, temperature, and smell. Slowly take a tiny taste of each one, and decide if it meets your expectations and gives your pleasure. On the second small taste do you recognize a taste or something not to your liking? That is a food to leave till last and maybe you won't eat it at all.

I have done this with desserts the last couple of buffets. It works for me! Last night I had 4 small desserts on my plate and only ate two.

Today I am getting my exercise working around the house. I have 4 guests arriving on Friday and want to be ready so I can relax and enjoy my time with them.
