My November goal was to go AF (alcohol free) until Thanksgiving.
Doing well so far...not perfect, but pretty well.
I do not expect perfection from anyone or anything.
My sleep is even better than it was (cbd oil is also helping there).
My thinking seems so much clearer all day!
I feel more tuned in and articulate in conversations.
Meditating every day helps me stay relaxed and to deal with cravings...drinking wine really is just a habit for me.
When the scale didn’t reward my efforts after the first week or so I lost my resolve a bit but then I started to feel the non-scale rewards of my lifestyle change and got back to it.
Of course, I did nosh on Halloween candy and other sugary treats that first week....you know, for being such a good girl?
Lost two pounds the second week and then another two this past week...sooooo, I’m thinking I am on to something here, on my particular journey.
Maybe a tiny bit awkward at times in that I told my dear man at the beginning of this experiment (when my resolve was stronger) to go right ahead and have his wine at night, which most days he does...did I mention we have a big wine cooler downstairs filled with amazing wines?
Anyway, I take it one day at a time.
I like the look and feel of the non-drinking me.
Daily meditation helps and is becoming a passion for me and I’m grateful for that.
