MAMADEE's Blog: SP ~ Day 4933
Three! I know it's Tuesday, and my mind easily goes to sayings like, "Taco Tuesday" or "Two for Tuesday" and no doubt there are many others. But 3 is what came to mind as soon as I saw it was Day 4933 (my number of days on SparkPeople)!
Now, don't get me wrong - I like 2's as well: I was born at 2:22 on the 20th. I have a knack for catching digital clocks when 2 numbers next to each other are the same, or when it's times like 10:10, 11:11, 12:12. And I love doubles of many things & always had an interest in anything twin-related!
But 3s just seem more special in my life, more prominent somehow.
As life turned out, the babies I was able to bring home came every 3 years, beginning just shy of my 3rd wedding anniversary. When my older 3 girls were 9, 6 & 3 years old they were joined by THREE more siblings (identical twin girls & 1 boy) during the 12th month of the year (3 goes into 12 equally). A lot of the basics facts in their births connects to the number 3 in one way or another. I was 33 during most of that pregnancy too!
Three continues to show up often in my life - one way or another - not that it means anything but it is interesting.
Moving on - before this particular Tuesday, October 22nd is done with...
Whatever you are
Be a good one
YOU are entirely up to YOU
Make your body.
Make your life.
Awesome reminders, for all of us, but for me especially & especially today.
Whatever bug I caught has stripped me of my voice for FOUR FULL DAYS now! The last time I went that long not being able to even whisper was when my larynx was ruptured. I can still recall, very vividly, the ENT specialist called to the ER that morning telling me (when I inquired in writing why it took him 5 hours to come) that since I was not gagging on my own blood nor choking on it he knew I'd survive until he got some proper sleep.
I'll spare y'all the details but let's just say that if I could have yelled at him then, I would have!!! He had no clue what else was happening in my life then - 5 hours without me at home, especially breakfast time, with 3 year old babies, 4 other kids to get to school, and so much more...
I became very proficient at communicating with all my household by ASL, BabySigns, and a whistle (at times spelling out words in Morse code)!
I'd really rather not go back to using a whistle - but I am getting plenty of practice with my ASL skills right now!
It's very late
