Setting yourself up to fail...break the routine!

Some of us prefer to weigh in every day; like a boxer would right before a fight. Grabbing a tissue and blowing our noses…pardon the crudeness, but…spitting in the sink and making sure that every moment on the pot is successful. THEN…when we’re finally convinced that we’re empty, we’ll remove all clothing And jewelry to make sure there’s not one single ounce that isn’t body weight added to the final number.

Sometimes we’re happy that we’ve lost 2 or 4 ounces and others devastate us when we’ve gained a pound because of water weight or the two gyro’s we gobbled down the night before. emoticon

I think what we need to remember that our weight can also be distributed. We can look and feel better without a piece of metal or glass with numbers to validate our health or looks.
So for me…I’m putting away the scale, making myself accountable for my eating habits and pushing myself that extra few minutes on my walk today.
But also and more importantly, remembering that we are not defined by our looks but our character.
