The Double-Edged Sword of Being Busy

So I've been working very hard to stay on track with my eating. I really can't do much physically because I need a hip replacement and mobility is very difficult for me until that happens, which still won't be for a couple of months. So I have to do this for now with controlling my eating. I certainly have had some success over the past couple of weeks and have had some genuine success on the scale.
Additionally I've been so busy that in a crazy way, my "good eating" has been helped, because I have had very little time to just be hanging around with nothing going on, which I can easily admit is prime eating time for me. Of course, being busy also means being tired.
So the question becomes trying to balance this busier lifestyle, which is good for my quest to eat well, with the need to take care of myself, get good rest, and stay off my very painful hip for a reasonable amount of time. I'm very interested to say that I'm in a "groove" right now, so even during those down times, I am able to resist the urge to eat when I'm most prone to do so. The challenge becomes when that "groove" is a little less worn and the temptation comes. Eating out of boredom is definitely one of my weakest links. It's easy to say "stay busy," but sometimes, that is just not possible.
So for now, I had just better concentrate on staying in that groove for as long as possible. Wish me luck!!
