Baby Appointment and Progress

Little dude failed both his hearing tests in the hospital, and his referral test after he was released, so he got referred to an ENT and for a fourth hearing test. The ENT says he has congenital small ear canals (she couldn't even see his ear drums) and she might have to put him under to get a better look and see what's going on. We tried the hearing test yesterday but he didn't want to sleep (he was SUPER angry about the ENT poking around his ears and nose) and he's so loudly congested that they couldn't get a good reading. From what the reading they did get it looks like he's still got a mild to moderate hearing loss so he's scheduled for a follow up with the ENT and another hearing test in September. From what I understand from a hearing loss support group I am in he may need hearing aids if his hearing loss doesn't improve on its own.
The ENT diagnosed him with Laryngomalacia (a flap of skin covering his esophagus) and Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (like acid reflux but the stomach acid stops in the esophagus) so he might need surgery to fix the Laryngomalacia, but in the meantime he needs medication to try to control the reflux and to get his congestion under control for the next hearing test.
On a more positive note I have lost 3lbs this week! I hope I keep losing like this, it's so nice to see the scale inching downwards instead of upwards. Next week I plan on boosting my workouts with Leslie Sansone videos. I took it easy this week by just working on the recumbent bike since it's my first week back to working out, but I'm going to do some standing exercises next week and we'll see how that goes. I'll still take it easy - no 5 Boosted Miles for me - but maybe some 20 minute walks, or 1-2 mile walks. We'll see what kind of shape I am in when I try.
