Intermittent fasting and giving brown fat a boost

Saturday, July 20, 2019

This is a 2-part blog
The first section relates to an article on intermittent fasting by Dr. Fung
Naturally enough it relates to HIS OPINIONS.
as follows

The ending summary of this article is:
Eat less sugar
Eat less refined grains
Moderate protein and high natural fats
Don’t eat all the time (time restricted eating or intermittent fasting). Stop snacking
Eat real unprocessed foods (lower in insulin effects)

The second part of this relates to brown fat(I have previously blogged on brown fats role in weightloss, so go back and have a look)
Some of you may have heard that spicy hot foods and caffeine can raise the bodies metabolism.
The following article describes how caffeine from black coffee can do this, by specifically acting on brown fat.

When I had a recent holiday I was having up to 5 cups of WHITE coffee each day and my weight was going down.
Now i am having my usual 1 cup a day my weight has returned.
Was coffee responsible for the weightloss?
Might need to try again and see
Cheers Richard
