Feeling down 😔

Sunday, July 14, 2019

So as most know I've been really working hard these last 15 months trying to get myself healthy. I've lost 165lbs and many inches. I've cut out all meds except my heart medicine and blood thinner. These are real victories. However I keep finding myself back in the hospital 😔 I can't seem to stop these cellulitis infections. Even with all my exercise and weight loss. So here I sit with a swollen painful leg again. I just don't know what else to do. It's this feeling of being knocked down every time I feel like I got myself together. And a tremendous feeling of frustration because I don't want to feel punished for doing well. I want to feel happy and healthy and rewarded for my hard work. I know this isn't my usual happy positive motivational blog but I'm not feeling great atm...

It is just a hurdle in life. You will conquer this too girl. I know I am late to post on this blog. But it is always good to support each other. Everyone has down days/ weeks/ months even years. But with support and situations always changing moods will always change. I am proud of you. Even if I don't know you. I know what hard work it is to get to where you are. It IS amazing! And you will get past each of these as they come up. emoticon

emoticon I'm sorry you are dealing with this issue, but so happy for you that have you have so much fat off and you are so much healthier overall, so you can deal with such an issue. I joined Sparks nearly 12 yrs ago at a horrible 214# and I'm at 138# today and I turn 70 next month, but I've continued to take my blood pressure medicine as my endocrinologist says it will help my kidneys and he is a believer in taking Metformin (my blood sugar is at 100 as it had been 115) and I take a weekly shot of Bydureon, also Armour thyroid as he says none of us have the Thyroid we did at 20.
Just keep working on your health.

I was battling what I thought was a cellulitis infection, but we are now exploring the possibility that I'm having issues with chronic venous insufficiency after my two recent pregnancies. The cardiologist I'm seeing said that it can mimic cellulitis. If it's not going away, maybe ask them to check out some of the common things that mimic it like that one? Just a thought. Two ER doctors misdiagnosed me.

I am sorry this is recurring. Have you talked to the doctor about prevention. It's a bacterial situation, so keeping clean and applying lotion to prevent is helpful. I would ask also for possibly an extended period of antibiotics to make sure the bacteria is OVERKILLED...LOL, your doctor would hate me, I am an old opinionated RN.

If even your in the hospital just thank God your still alive and it could've been worst. Someone else in the hospital dying when your infection can be treated and healed! You will be on and be back to yourself in no time! I hope u feel better!
