Mom Ill-Seems Improving

Wednesday, July 10, 2019

Mom hasn't been feeling well. I think it's her new BP med but she won't go to dr again or let me take her to ER because she says it isn't the meds. I came home after work last week and couldn't find her. Her vehicle was still there. Thought maybe she had called for squad or sister to take her to ER. Searched behind furniture to see if she'd fallen. Finally saw bedspread move. It was pulled up like a half made bed and she is so tiny there was really no lump. I looked under and found her. Breathing normal, restless legs, color good so I spent 6 hrs checking on her til she woke. Over the next couple days she didn't seem to get better but she did start drinking protein shakes. Not like her to sleep all day. Monday showed improvement and she asked for KFC. Yesterday seemed much improved. She even started taking clothes out for vacation. Today is better. Taking her to chiro this afternoon

Glad she is better. My dad is getting to be that way too. He spends a lot of time in bed now, though he doesn't sleep well. We've been going to the doctors a lot for various things with him but finding no answers and now he is sick of going to the doctor and won't go anymore.

My Mom lives with me too - and she doesn't like going to the doctor. She is 89 and does like to take long naps in the afternoon. I don't think she sleeps well at night.

Its a constant concern. I empathize with your worries! emoticon
