May was a busy month for me for things other than reading. I did manage to get a few books read though.
My first book of the month was a children's book that I've heard so much about but never read as a child. It was an enjoyable book anyway.
"Marcelo in the Real World" is a book about a boy with aspergers. "The Rosie Project" (was well as the second book to the series) "The Rosie Effect" is also a book about a character with aspergers. I googled books about aspergers when my youngest daughter was diagnosed with aspergers last year and these were some fiction books that came up so I thought I'd change up my typical reading selection and give them a try. Very enjoyable. Sometimes I didn't know whether to laugh or cry but all in all the books were very good.
"Next Girl to Die" was an excellent book. New author for me. I love detective mysteries and this one did not disappoint. Dea Poirier is definitely an author I will be looking for more book by.
And then the romance novel, "Texas Fierce.". I'm typically not a fan but as I may have stated in a previous blog, this was an author that hooked me to romance back in grammar school. I read mostly romances through high school and college and she was one of my favorite authors and I still cannot pass up one of her books.
