13 Pounds in 3 Weeks

I am now down 13 pounds in 3 weeks on HMR - 7 pounds the first week and 3 pounds each week after that. The program is still easy to follow and I love the philosophy of never going hungry and eating more (of the right things) to help avoid temptation. I am also finding myself working to improve habits in other areas too, like water consumption, exercise, and sleep. (Water and exercise are both areas to track on the HMR app - I don't always get enough of either but I'm working on it!) I think the weight loss is showing up in my face first and I think eating less sugar is good for my skin. I'd like to say I have more energy but honestly that's only true sometimes. Sometimes I'm really tired or hungry and have less energy, but I think that strategic eating and getting a consistent good night's sleep will help. The sleep one is tough in part because my 3-year-old is still waking up in the middle of the night a lot of the time. He cries and calls out "mommy" over and over and wants to come in my bed and likes to cuddle up as close to me as possible which sounds adorable but in reality it's not very comfortable! Anyway, this is a great time of year to be where I am with weight loss. The whole summer is ahead of us right now and it's still light out late into the evening so I can go for a walk or jog (when it's not RAINING!). Plus, there are 14 weeks left until my brother's wedding so I know I have to stay on track until then!
