Go Nose to Nose with Yourself in the Mirror

Sunday, May 12, 2019

Each day, have a little vanity mirror next to your computer monitor, so you can see your face as you do things online. Each time you see something you may want to do, look at yourself, look yourself in the eye, and think about it. Will I be able to make space in my life for something new or to change an old habit that is no longer serving me?

It is easy to dismiss yourself in your mind, but by getting in the practice of looking at yourself eye to eye, you feel like going deeper into the thought of how this is really going to change you for better or not. If you want to eat something that wasn't on your planned meal, look at yourself first, and ask, is this what I really need or want, is this choice for just today or for a lifetime?

You are worth more, more health, more activity, more nutrients, more life itself, and at a higher quality then you use to give yourself. Please practice on looking in the mirror, eye to eye, nose to nose, look deeper than the surface, go into your being, deep in your soul.

There was a time when I was mean to myself, I punished myself, saying I wasn't worth anything, just a little monster that needs to stay hidden. Now I am a lot kinder to the person staring back at me. I was taught vanity was bad, and I was not to look at myself at all. Now I think I am worth the time it takes to look myself right in the eye, and to always say a few kind things, then take consideration with the life gazing back at me.

My wish for you.....Be your own best friend, it is who you need the most in you corner in life!

Love this, and the looking at yourself, that's a great idea. I'm going to try this and see how it goes. I too have been unkind to ME, that needs to stop!!
