Wow, I haven't done any blogging forever. So thought I would do one for this week with starting PT, again for the first time since 2014. Seems I am having issues with my scoliosis again, and most likely a pinched nerve or more. Working on my core strength, my oblique muscles, my legs and balance this time. So more issues being worked on then in 2014.

I had my first PT session on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. I got up at 5 am to get ready for PT. I did two hours of PT core strengthening type stuff Tuesday at PT. I received a print out of the exercises they taught me, and was told to do them at home three types a day. My side is doing a lot better since I started PT. It is still a little sore sometimes, but nothing like before.

I got up at 5 am Friday, May 10th, 2019 for my second PT session. I lifted weights using my legs while laying on a sled type bench. And did other exercises on that weighted bench. Then pulled weights with my arms, and a bunch of other stuff for an hour. Then came home and changed clothes fast and went to work. I had to drive up the coast stopping to drop off and pick up from bookkeeping from several clients in Encinitas and Oceanside. Then ran back to the office to do payroll for another company, and other office work. I didn't get out of the office until 5:30 pm so it was a long and tiring day for me.

We just started working on my issues with my right leg and groin Friday. And it was already sore from doing a bunch of driving Thursday for work. Then after doing all the weight lifting, and all the driving Friday, it is still sore today. But my side was still sore after the first day of working on it too. It took several days of me also working on it at home to get it better. So maybe the leg will start feeling better next week, or so. Next week I have PT on Thursday and Friday mornings. As I already had other doctor appts set with other doctors in the beginning of the week. So I had to push both my next week’s PT appts right next to each other at the end of the week.

I didn't log it in anywhere, but I did two hours of PT core strengthening type stuff Tuesday at PT. Friday, I had one hour of PT, where I was using a weight sled bench and moving weights with my legs while lying on my back. And then used pulley weights with my arms after, and lots of balance and core strengthening type stuff again too.

Friday, when I got home from work, my watch showed I had done 32931 steps, and 15.60 miles, with my PT, and doing the bookkeeping run for work going up the coast to see several clients, and back to the office to do computer and other work.

    Thanks everyone! With working at it, I got rid of the bad charlie horse like cramping in my upper thigh and groin area that I was getting off and on especially in the evenings. But I never got over the tight strained muscle feelings in the groin and thigh. My right side oblique muscles still feel strained too, some days better than others. My back is still acting up on and off also. I still have issues trying to find a comfortable way to sleep at night, so I am doing a lot of tossing and turning until I fall asleep. I still can't sleep on my right side any more, but that is starting to get better and better too. I am still waking up in the middle of the night or early morning a lot from it. Needing to stretch out some, and find different positions again until I fall back to sleep. I don't know if it will ever go back to the way it was before, or if this is going to be my new normal. My insurance gave me about a dozen PT visits which I used up going in twice a week. So now I am just trying to do the rest on my own doing the stretches and exercises I learned from all my PT sessions, and new ones I am finding online for it too.

    Thanks everyone. I supposedly have pinched nerves causing issues. So I am still in PT and doing their exercises at home several times a day too.
