Therapy coming to an end YEAH!!!

Wednesday, April 24, 2019

After close t a year - next month - I will be done with therapy! I may never be 100% but I'm functional enough to be home with my DH xoxo

Last month I started a new tread under " Over 50 - Setting goals and how to achieve goals". This has helped me a lot as the objective is to be healthy, eat healthy and make changes to achieve a healthy weight - I'm much to heavy for my knees and my heart, both.

Setting monthly goal and 6 month goal than a long term goal is how I work it. The end goal is to big and overwhelming; this is why monthly goal works for me as I have a month to lose 5 lbs while eating healthy. Still having problem with fiber, vitamins and all the nutrients we need in a day as per the nutritional report at the end of the day.

I want to keep the momentum going Motivation comes from within and I need to lose for my weak heart and pain in the knees. This is serious for me as I want to enjoy my great--grand-son. I want to attend my grand-son's wedding and I want to meet one of my grand-sons. I want to be able to enjoy my golden years with y DH, be able to take trips to visit my daughter and grand-kids and their kids.

Something else that changed this year, it's the first time I see myself as fat! This is also an incentive for the first time as I never say me as fat - couldn't believe the scale at 248 lbs . I always felt small and beautiful until this year when my clothes didn't fit anymore...
