Old Challenge Revisited

Back on July 16, 2018, I posted the following blog entry:

"I am sailing along pretty well with my weight goal. I reached my goal last January and have been able to maintain it. So, other than maintenance, what could my new old goal be?

I know that I need to address my wine consumption. I don't drink until I fall down, or drink to a point where I would be considered drunk. But I know that my 1-3 glasses of wine most days is way over what the experts recommend. I also know that if I have more than 1 glass of wine I wake up several times during the night and I am sweating profusely. No, I cannot blame it on the night sweats that accompany menopause as I am beyond those and they were different. The next day I know that I did not get the restful sleep that I need.

It has been way to easy to overlook this vice since I have been able to maintain my goal weight. No, I need to look at it as a health issue. If my goal is to the healthiest I can be than I have to make some changes."

So here I am 9 months later facing the same challenge! I am ashamed to say that I have not made much headway with this goal. But here at Spark People we encourage each other to never give up. So I am not giving up!!! I have not had any wine for 4 days now and I am setting a goal of no wine a whole week. This is my first small step goal.
