Changing my weight again and what I've learned so far.

Tuesday, April 02, 2019

OK, here we go again. 412 this morning and there's no mystery. Stress-eating, not logging my food, and making choices that feed the food addict that lives inside me.

What I know to be facts:

>Eating simple carbs leads to eating simple carbs.

>If it's in the house I will eat it until it's gone. No portion control. No control whatsoever.

>I use food as a coping mechanism.

>Using food as a coping mechanism does not work.

>I need to both give AND get support in order to stay strong in weaker moments.

>I am a survivor.

>I am NOT a quitter.

I can relate. My weight has been between 10-20lbs for the last 15yrs. I keep saying I've got to keep going, but once I stop recording my food I lose all control. We got this. Support is key.....good luck on your journey.

You are truly not alone here! I have been a stress eater my entire life. I have no portion control either. Before you know it, I have eaten the entire contents and I'm usually still hungry because I have just inhaled all of those empty calories. You can do this because you are so worth all the effort!
