I need to get this out my system and as the song says “Let it Go”.
I do understand that Trials and tribulations are a part of life and everyone has their share at some point or another. The thing that I have a hard time is when “Murphy’s Law” strikes. The old saying that about lightning not striking twice in the same place…yeah not so… The last two months I have been struck by lightning more than once (not really Lightning).
I was in a car accident in February which has placed me on exercise restrictions except for those I am doing at PT and a bit of walking. I understand and am trying to follow doctor’s orders but I missing doing my daily exercises and the pain is sometimes unbearable. I am scheduled for a procedure on April 17 that should hopefully alleviate my pain – meanwhile I am following the doctor’s instructions.
Now this past week in March has been very-- let’s say exciting!!!
First we lost power on a Sunday morning around 3am. This was not a big deal because we went to breakfast, church and ran some errand until finally around noon we got the power back.
Monday we lost internet and cable service all day. We had family talk time – so not so bad.
However, Tuesday my son was on his way to a job interview and he was in a car accident. Luckily he was not seriously injured but again ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. The car has been declared total loss and the job interview although rescheduled does not look to promising now.
So as I begin this Spring Challenge….I am ready for a new beginning, a fresh start…..Spring brings flowers and new life and I am trusting that some good things will come my way. Enough is Enough!!!
Oh my...i'm just now seeing this dear Bibi. By now I hope you are much better. It does seem that things are pretty crappy for so many right now. All we can do is look for the silver lining and pray that things calm down for all of us. 337 days ago
Well, if bad luck comes in 3s, as they say, you’ve certainly had yours, and can look forward to some good. Good luck to your son for the job....Don’t assume he won’t still get it. :) 352 days ago
So sorry life has battered you lately and it is great that you are looking forward to Spring reviving and bringing better things your way. Praying the procedure on the 17th will result in more freedom for your physical abilities. Praying your Son will find that perfect job and a car to replace the one totaled. Spring and nicer temperatures will certainly make us feel better! 366 days ago
I'm so extremely SORRY for all these issues. It seems when it rains it pours. I'll continue praying for you and add your son to my list. Stay strong and keep the faith. Hold tight to your family and reach out to your Spark family whenever you need us. 366 days ago
it does appear that the past few weeks have been challenging in my life as well. I totally understand when it rains it pours. It's nice that spring is back, and with it the hope of smiles and good intentions. Keep your chin up. 366 days ago
Oh I am in the same place! One thing after another until I want to yell STOP! They all seem to find happy endings, eventually, but the waiting feel endless. The cable box was replaced, after 13 days of worry (mostly on my husband's side) the electricity is finally repaired and working fine. But that very day my husband went downstairs and found the laundry tubs leaking. After checking it out he was able to do a patch work job but they are over 60 years old and falling apart - new laundry tubs are on the agenda.
I hope the procedure on the 17th helps - good luck with everything until then. 366 days ago
