199 Pounds and Holding--Addendum

I am now 197.8. At 199, I took a good look at my face, arms, and legs, and I decided it was time to stop losing weight until the rest of me caught up at some. In other words, I needed to exercise more. I am now exercising, trying to stick to my low-carb, diabetic diet as closely as possible, and I have stopped worrying about losing that last 50 pounds. I want this 50 to come off slowly as I exercise more--that is my goal. I am looking for more strength and stamina. Now I need to go clothes shopping. WooHoo. emoticon

    Now wait a minute sweetie! You also have to look at your age. I started at 354 pounds 7 years ago. I could barely move. Exercising was torture but I did it at exactly the same time I started dieting (hate that word). I now weigh 171 pounds and am 71 years old; but have enough hanging skin to make a matched set of luggage! The Drs say I am too old and in too poor of health to have that skin removed. Am I sorry I lost it? NO! But it does make moving around just as challenging.
