Some thoughts

Tuesday, January 22, 2019

In my previous journey blogging was helpful so I came here to put my thoughts out in a happy positive place. I’ve come to realize I want to lose weight but it’s been such a struggle. Lately I’ve been eating not the greatest and want to clean it up. I’ve looked towards friends but they just want to sell me supplements and not actually help. Once they get the sale, they essentially ditch me. That’s not a friend so I’ve stepped away from it all. I guess I even started to feel alone and like they even care. My sister does Herbalife and I think I’d like components of it to supplement things. But they want to be every meal. I honestly just want to get back to working out regularly (got a plan for that) and est healthy. But what is healthy? Is it paleo? Keto? Tracking calories? A salad daily? I’ve done keto and I just couldn’t accept its healthy. For ME I kept wondering if it was heart healthy etc even if ppl were skinny. Ironically my bp has crept up but I think that’s stress and not eating the best. I think something else is going on to with my body. I get dizzy and nauseated regularly or have a headache. Keeping an eye on bp and pulse. And yes I’ll be going to the doctor as soon we’re done moving. Well I better get to bed! Gnight!

I can relate, I’m at a crossroads too. Trying to lose the weight I’ve regained, and not sure how to do it or even if my heart is really in it anymore. Good luck!

Wow, I remember using Herbalife b4 I got pregnant with my son. Well, and while I was pregnant, b4 I knew...right up to the first day of morning sickness. Totally couldn't do that again, but I imagine it's improved some.

What works really is about finding the foods and plan that are best for your body and for you. I'm an A-positive type-2 diabetic, so high protein, low glycemic, and dairy free have to be part of my food planning, but I also have other food allergies/sensitivities that complicate things. It is a fact, though, that regardless of what foods we find work best for our body, calorie input vs output directly impacts our weight. I do think it can be helpful to track calories, like to help gauge intake. Sometimes I'm quite surprised when I find out how many calories a meal contained or a day's food intake included, but I also find it tedious to track continuously. So, I admit, I might track for a couple weeks when I'm trying to get back on track but more often I track for a few days here and there or for new recipes or a significant change in my meal planning so that I can see what those changes are doing calorie wise.

Changes in your blood sugar can cause dizziness and nausea, and the high BP could be causing your headaches. Glad you have an appt w/the doctor soon. Hopefully the doc can give you some answers and relief quickly.

Savannah, glad to hear from you! You know, it really is all about finding what works for YOU. Clearly all the supplements don't help. Yes, for sure people do lose weight on the Keto diet, but I personally would wonder about the health benefits for myself also.

Ok, so you have an exercise plan. That's good.

good luck w/your move. Are you staying in that area?
