Pacing Myself...One Week Down...On to Week 2!

Today, I began Week 2 of my return to SP. I tried a new breakfast item and really liked it...it's definitely a keeper and one I will continue and repeat. It was a lite turkey sausage, egg, cheese, English muffin sandwich. Easy to fix...freezer to microwave to my plate in less than 3 minutes...and yummy.

I had a training this morning and then a virtual training conference all day. I was ready for the work day to be over. It was a lot of info in one day. But not that bad.

I'm glad to be home and back to my heated blanket. Hubby is feeling a little better so I guess his meds are helping. Yay!

Today was another maintenance day on the scale so I completed the week with a 5-lb weight loss. My goal is 2 lbs a week...so I'm a week and a half ahead of schedule. Nice start.

Tonight, when I was working on my home bill-paying tasks, it was getting difficult because the internet kept dragging and it was taking a long time. I decided to just do what I needed to do and come back to it tomorrow when hopefully the internet will be more cooperative. I'm glad I didn't push myself to keep trying and trying to get it done instead of allowing myself to stop and come back to it. That's a mistake I've made in the past...pushing myself past the "okay" point...where I feel frazzled and spent. I'm trying to be more gentle with myself and give myself the time I need for things and the breaks I need instead of pushing and pushing. I know that when I push myself too hard or get too overwhelmed, that's when eating episodes are triggered. So, I'm guarding against that happening.
