Turtle Progress Is Still Progress

After losing almost 130 pounds, my weight started creeping up. In May, I committed myself to get those added pounds off. They did not accru overnight so did not expect them to be eliminated overnight. Since May I have lost over ten pounds.
I plan to continue my journey in 2019. I plan to be down at least another ten pounds which is a little more than 5%. I Will do this by
—monitoring progress weighing at least five mornings a week
—watching food intake focusing on protein
—increasing my physical activity to improve my strength, flexibility, and endurance.
This last year I completed several great Bible studies. We visited Colonial Williamsburg with my niece. Also we hosted a dear friend visiting the Midwest for the first time. A nephew and his wife visited from California. We had three trips to Branson catching some excellent shows but had to cancel Virginia Beach and Gatlinburg trips as my son needed health care. On a positive note, he is finally on the transplant list. My health has been good with only a case of the flu.
This next year I shall continue the three groups. I will continue to teach my first graders Sunday mornings giving encouragement to the three teen males who help me. I hope to get to know our neighbors better. I will begin working on a book finishing a chapter a month. I will finish the lap quilt/throw. I will make a placemat for our dog’s food and water tray. I will continue to enjoy Monday night games with family and friends. I will enjoy trips and getaways. I will look for good that I can do for others and self.
